While I used to think I know everything about lymphoedema because I have it, I began researching more and more over the years and realised I had barely scratched the surface! I have made it my 2025 mission to learn and grow on my journey so that I feel proactive and not stagnant about my condition. Whilst away with work, during free time, I have been driven to look through recent medical studies, attend webinars and read through all materials available free online so that I can fully understand not just the future of lymphoedema care but have an in-depth knowledge of what is currently known about the condition. Through the LSN (Lymphoedema Support Network), I signed up to 2 symposiums/webinars, linked below, which give an insight into the future and current treatments for lymphoedema care. Whilst so much is still in trial and I personally feel sceptical about their success, it is exciting to see some development and contrasting approach to care in comparison to the classic compression and massage methods.
