Personal Thank You: Clatterbridge Lymphoedema Team

This post is a dedicated thank you to the incredible nurses I see every six months at the NHS WUTH Clatterbridge Hospital under the Lymphoedema Clinic. On days when both my body and mind feel heavy, they consistently lift the mood of each appointment and leave me feeling supported and hopeful.

Despite me being a bit of a challenge; a young patient, a dancer and someone full of questions, they meet every session with patience, enthusiasm and genuine care. They've never treated someone with my lifestyle before, yet they approach it with open minds and a willingness to learn which is rare and deeply appreciated.

After years of uncooperative or dismissive medical support, the difference in their approach is nothing short of remarkable. I can’t put into words how comforting it is to walk into a space where I feel truly heard. These women are not just skilled professionals, they are warm, compassionate and human. I never feel judged and I always feel like they are just as invested in my progress as I am.

They go above and beyond to help me feel empowered in my treatment, always exploring new options and genuinely wanting to find the best solutions for my condition. Their commitment, work ethic and kindness are beyond measure.

From the bottom of my heart—thank you. You make a bigger difference than you know.
